On Tuesday, July 11th, the CVCS held their 2017 Annual General Meeting, at Lions Hall.
Topics included a review of the 2016 AGM Minutes, financial statements, and reviews of the membership base, and volunteer work performed over the past year. 2016 was a record year for memberships, and over 1000 hours of volunteer trail maintenance work was performed. Kudos to all involved!
Trails in the Invermere area continue to become more and more popular with both residents, and visitors, with 2017 already showing an 80% increase in trail usage vs. 2016.
The bulk of the meeting was spent discussing the current situation with the proposed Barbour Rock Recreational trails, and issues facing trail advocacy in the Columbia Valley.
